A few months ago I, full of ambition, started a series of posts about how the web is evolving, titled 'The Emerging Web', you can find them in my archives. I never got around finishing it. Basically the scope was a bit too broad. I started way back with how ARPANET became the Internet, and was planning to finish with all the current and exciting developments. There's enough material there to fill a book with.
What those developments of the contemporary web are is wonderfully explained in an article I couldn't have written in a million years.

A healthy dose of apprehension

The evening before the exam. Possibly slightly apprehensive of what awaits me tomorrow morning. I'm not quite sure at what level the exam will be (written Chinese). I do believe it should work out just fine, but you never know, do you? It's a healthy sort of apprehension, the one that motivates people to do their best.

Multilingual blogging

I've been looking into wordpress plugins to write posts in multiple languages. Until now I've sticked with English for a number of reasons. First of all it's more or less the lingua franca of the internet, second of all most Flemish people have no difficulties with English, so it only broadens the audience. Nevertheless I'd like to blog in Dutch from time to time, and have the option to translate a post so it's available in both languages. As Molly E.
